Orione Hernia Brief Model #316 is made from Orione elasticated fabric (a cotton fabric with elastomers) that provides different tension throughout the design giving excellent support and comfort around the abdominal wall. This model is only available in white. The product is supplied at the Drugs Tariff Price and is inclusive of next-day tracked shipping/handling and VAT.

All Hernia briefs are supplied with two anatomically shaped foam pads. which fit into two small pouches on the inside of the brief .
They are recommended as they put direct pressure on the hernia but the fit is entirely up to the wearer. Suitable for single or bilateral inguinal hernia.

Sizing is important as we do not offer returns for underwear: Measure around the waist with a tape measure, do not assume your normal trouser size is actually your waist size. If you consider yourself on a sizing borderline go down rather than up.

Washing Advice

The manufacturer recommendation is 'hand wash only at low temperature water', however we have heard many reports from customers who have used a a washing machine on a low temperature and spin setting without adversely affecting the garment..
Do not use bleaches or detergents.

Delivery and Returns

Products are typically shipped the same day that they are ordered up to 3 pm GMT daily Monday to Friday.
We use 'Royal Mail Tracked 24/48' which provides full visibility of the goods from door-to-door. For our international customers we encourage you to use 'International Tracked' which again provide some degree of location of the package throughout its journey to you.

In the unlikely event of a package not arriving Royal Mail will not consider it 'lost' until 15+ working days have elapsed, at which point we can investigate. If it is returned to us as 'undelivered' we will contact you.

Your privacy : All goods are shipped in plain, opaque envelopes and no markings on the envelope identify the package sender or contents.

Returns

We accept returns for manufacturers defect (which is highly unlikely from an ISO 9001 factory) or picking errors on our part.
Items returned for refund must be shipped within 9 working days of receipt.

For hygiene reasons underwear is NOT eligible for return and is considered final sale.

Product Information

The Hernia support brief is worn instead of normal briefs and provides support and relief around the abdominal region. The airy elasticated fabric is designed to be worn all day and allows good freedom of movement. Suitable for left, right or double (bilateral) inguinal hernias close to the groin. The brief is supplied with two thin, firm shaped, foam pads which can (optionally) be inserted in the internal fabric pouches to assist in direct flattening support to the hernia region.

A hernia truss is not needed or advised. The Hernia Brief has a low-profile design looks at first glance exactly like normal underwear with excellent Italian styling.

Suitability

Suitable for an Inguinal Hernia that is classified as 'reducible' i.e. it can be pushed back into the body without undue pain. Also suitable for post-operative care where support is necessary across the site.

Do not use on injured skin or together with ointments or creams. if in doubt consult your physician for approximate time and way of use.

Not recommended if part of your hernia is emerging into the scrotum as internal foam pads need to cover whole hernia area for effective relief.

Do not wear this product directly after surgery particularly if you have had a mesh-type hernia repair as pressure on the mesh may cause internal inflammation. Post-operation the hernia brief can be worn as a general gentle support without the foam pad(s) but only after clearance from your surgeon / GP regarding recovery rates.
